|Duties:||Prepare subsurface boring and testing programs for a variety of projects, including but not limited to:|
Horizontal Directional Drilling for pipelines
Roadway Full-Depth Reclamation
Administer boring and testing program, including preparation of bid contracts, administration of contract, oversight of testing program and analysis of results.
Preparation of report summarizing findings and providing recommendations for construction.
Problem-solving of foundation construction problems in the field in a timely manner.
Preparation of technical and price proposals.
Assisting with marketing of new clients.
Overtime, as required, to meet client expectations.
|Qualifications:||Professional Engineer in WV or the ability to be licensed in WV upon hire is required.|
BS or MS in civil engineering or related field with emphasis in geotechnical engineering.
Minimum six (6) years experience.
Experience in private and governmental projects.
Strong communication, people and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Computer skills: MS Office, AutoCAD, and programs for bearing capacity analysis, slope stability, etc.
Experience in laboratory and field testing of soils a plus.
Familiar with all types of subsurface explorations such as test borings, test pits, geo-physical, etc.
