Project Manager(Morgantown)

Description:The Project Manager has overall responsibility to insure the success of clients and projects of the Energy Division assigned to him and for the continued growth and development of the staff under his direction.

He closely interacts with clients and staff to ensure total client satisfaction is obtained while meeting financial goals set for each project.

As directed, the Project Manager will assist in business development activities outside of his core group of clients and maintain active membership in an association within his geographic area of work.
Duties:• Promote, utilize and support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve the quality of deliverable and reduce design errors and omissions thereby resulting in a reduction in claims
• Continually evaluate workload and collaborate with his reporting Sr. Project Manager or Director to insure appropriate staffing is supplied at the right level of expertise to successfully complete each task assignment
• Assist in preparing workload forecasting reports
• Assist in business development as prime contact for a select group of clients
• Mentor subordinates so that career development plans prepared for each can be accomplished
• Maintain professional certification in field of expertise
• Prepare project scope and fees
• Provide overall daily technical oversight and management to assigned projects
• Provides site designs, reports and analysis for various types of energy related projects as assigned
• Assigned project related duties to under support staff
• Promote knowledge leadership development amongst self and staff
• Actively participate in client development activities, as directed by the Director
• Actively participate in interviews of prospective employees
Qualifications:• MINIMUM EDUCATION – Associate’s degree in related field of study
• DESIRED EDUCATION – Bachelor’s degree in surveying, engineering or landscape architecture
• MINIMUM CERTIFICATION – Professional licensure in field of expertise
• MINIMUM SYSTEMS OR PROGRAM NEEDS/EXPERIENCE – Moderate level of knowledge with MC office products, advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and design software used by self and subordinates
• MINIMUM EQUIVALENT WORKING EXPERIENCE IN YEARS – 4+
• DESIRED EQUIVALENT WORKING EXPERIENCE IN YEARS – 6+
• TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS – Occasional to frequent overnight or extended stays.

• Ability to think independently and as part of a Project Team
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact with clients, vendors, regulatory agencies and other external sources in a professional manner.
